Hello all!

A few of you guys asked for some more photos and history on my 914-6. First off, I feel guilty even saying this is my car. This car belonged to my friend, Fred. Fred bought this car brand new in Long Island New York, during his medical residency. When he graduated, the car came back to Southern California, specifically Beverly Hills and Anaheim. The car has been here locally for the past 54 years in Southern California.

How I ended up getting the car:

Fred had no intention of selling this car. He is 82 and is going through an expensive divorce. I don't want to go into too much detail on his life because that is his business, but, I ended up buying the car at an auction that he sadly had to give the car up to. I won the auction at $67,000 and then was smacked in the face with almost $15,000 in fees. I do love 914's and was raised restoring them, and I know the 6, had never driven one.

If I was wealthy enough, I would give the car back to Fred as a gift, but Lord knows I am not, ha!

I don't plan on keeping the car, it is a pretty expensive car, and I would rather have a car that can do cross state road trips comfortably with my wife.

I recently started working at an independent Porsche shop on the side, where we took the car and put it on the lift, went through it to see if it needed any work. Fred had given me a lot of records on the car, and in those records, was a recent engine rebuild done at 72k miles. The car now has 73k miles. So mechanically, this car is in great shape. cosmetically, probably a B. I am almost done redoing the sail panels because it had the original vinyl and adhesive. the adhesive gave out and clumped up at the bottom.

It is awesome to own this car, although, I guess I still don't, ha! I still have yet to register it because I am torn. It is a true one owner car of 56 years. If I don't plan on keeping it, I don't know if I should rob it of its one owner title.

This car has been treated super well all its life. If you or you know someone that is interested, let me know, 559-970-0682. Here are some photos so we can appreciate the history and beauty of this piece of art.

please share with me your thoughts and your cars as well!Attached Image
