I came across this in our local paper this morning. Anybody here qualified?

Design and adaptation of current racing technology and safety engineering to vintage race machinery. Creation of maintenance and development/refinement of systems for vintage racing machinery. Creation and administration of vintage racing programs. Fabrication skills include machining, welding, metal forming in steel and aluminum stock and sheet; mechanical skills including but not limited to diagnosis, tuning, repair, and component remanufacturing; chassis set up, alignment, corner weight, bump steer, and tuning skills.

Must have thorough knowledge of racecar chassis dynamics & development, conceptual understanding of racecar power train dynamics & development; vehicle specific knowledge of purpose built Elva, Ginetta, Chevron, Brabham, March, Toulman, GRD, Beach, Bobsy, and Lotus vehicles. Vehicle-specific knowledge of post-war production-based racing and rally machinery. Specific knowledge of proprietary race car component products including braking systems, cooling systems, fasteners, joints, power transmission, and electrical components. Specific knowledge of period FIA, SCCA, SVRA, HMSA, HSR, and other sanctioning body rules and regulations. Minimum 6 years experience.

Do you think a person with these qualifications is looking in the local rag for a job? This is more the type of add you see in the vintage racing mags.

But who knows, maybe there is a guy working at the gas station that will read this at lunch one day and go and apply.
