Took the 914 powered 356 up to Solvang over the weekend. Going up a hill it started pinging......I'm running Super, or what CA calls 91 octane. I'm thinking that the 009 that's in there is junk.

So, I'm looking for suggestions and a 050 dizzy if anyone has one laying around. This motor was Chris C's old motor before he went with the /6 in hos race car. Pulls like a tractor up to 5K then runs out of steam.....more advance than the 009 can give?
