Took the 914 powered 356 up to Solvang over the weekend. Going up a hill it started pinging......I'm running Super, or what CA calls 91 octane. I'm thinking that the 009 that's in there is junk.
So, I'm looking for suggestions and a 050 dizzy if anyone has one laying around. This motor was Chris C's old motor before he went with the /6 in hos race car. Pulls like a tractor up to 5K then runs out of steam.....more advance than the 009 can give? |

QUOTE(mikez @ Aug 4 2003, 10:31 AM) The 009 besides being designed for a stationary inustrial motor has VERY little advance and it was the one that came with the motor.....so I am looking to get one that I can tweek and get the most out of the power band on all sides....low end and upper end..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Yeah, I should have worded my response better. I was talking to you part of the time (get a stock dizzy) and the others the rest of the time. I knew what you meant and you're on the right track finding a different dizzy. -Ben M. |
