What would be the best method for cleaning up a set of Pedrinis? They have a rather cool looking pattern cast into the surface, would like to just get the eons of brake dust off.

Also, how best to clean up the lugs, the Fuchs wheels are nice and clean, but the lugs look 30 years old(go figure). Is a wire wheel going to be safe, or perhaps some steel wool.
