ok, what is the correct term for this piece?? Is it the suspension console?? (i dont think so...) can i buy a replacement, or do i have to fabricate my own?? Thanks guys!!

wow that outer suspension consoole is toast. I would hate to be the one that has to replace teh entire longitudinal inner and outer part that that used to be connected to. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sawzall-smiley.gif)

To repair that, expect to find a donor body. But if you're going that far, look at a clean roller to transfer your parts to...

It can be done but take a hard look at the rest of the car. Us north/east guys have tackled worse but at what cost.
I think you would need a donor car at least or you have to hand fab the parts.
