GT rockers without flares look STUPID,
even on a nice yellow car ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

GT rockers without flares look STUPID,

i agree, even if you call them "custom side skirts" ...

i do, however, still like the shaved turn signal tunnels; i keep wondering what was going through the minds of the VW/Karmann design group when they decided the car looked best with them on...

actually, i know the answer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

just read through "Das Grosse VW-Porsche Buch" ...

the reason was, because the car was pretty low to begin with,
to get the turn-signals as high as possible so people could actually see them.

yepp, that's what the designer had to say in the book.

that's the guy from the pelican board (maybe this one too?) who painted the car himself, isn't it?

I like the car very much, I think the new VW colors would all look good on a teener.
