i tore into the "onion" this am. well, stripping all the tin and the impeller shoud is next. i wish the camera was at home. the red rtv on the tapped plugs at the rear of the case, and the 5 hole flywheel bolt washer is swell (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) . there were 2 flywheel pilot bushings in the flywheel (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) . PLUS, there's one in the end of the crankshaft too! carrying spares i guess? i have to start a new "onion" thread tonight.

I swapped my impeller bolts for allen-head at the local parts & machine shop. Even using the right tool, I stripped the bejeezus out of one of the bolts trying to take the impeller off -- & just said f&%k it. Cost me 3 bucks, I highly recommend it. And they were so close to the original length, I just added a washer to avoid the tip scratching the crank seal behind the impeller.

Now if only I could remember where all these wires go....
