This just showed up over on the Subie forums... Thought some of the 914 guys might be interesting (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

Its the first 300hp N/A 4-cylinder subaru engine that ive heard of, definatly the first in the U.S. Sounds absolutely perfect for a 914 swap, since you can still fit the radiator in the engine bay (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

you might still be able to run the radiator in the engine compartment with a turbo engine, it really is all about cooling...a 300hp n/a motor is still going to be putting out a lot of heat so it's not a given that it'll work right off the bat....

I bet that motor cost a bundle......a turbo motor might still be cheaper...

Look at that torque curve!

The high octane gas requirement kinda sucks for daily driver use.

Its not a daily driver engine, In one of the posts they made they clarified it was designed for race applications... But I would think 250hp or could be done and keep it more daily-driverable.

But ya, its probably expensive, somewhere around $7000 we guessed...
