No John......

You run 2200 or there abouts to maintain a high oil pressure in the system while the lobes and lifters "wear in" and mate.............

This also help seat the bearings and other stuff....consistent lubrication is most important

what seems to be the #4 intake lifter did the most severe wear on its side of the cam lobe. placed the lifter on a mirrior to check if it rocked or seemed to be convex. feels like it sits pretty flat.

AFAIR....there is only a 0.001" taper to a lifter to cause it to rotate in the bore...

What does the bottom of the lifter look like? Star pattern of wear or ?

Remember that #4 intake lifter also is the intake lifter for #2.

the base would never show in a photo. pretty pronounced lines running the length of the lifter. more of a round wear area in the center, some portions of the face near the outer edge show bright, some don't. no star patterning. come on over and take a look at it.
