That's a fact, Jack. Happened to me late one night where I almost rolled my old 4X4 but got stuck instead. These 2 flaming gay dudes just hapened to be out on the same out of the way road to get their groove on and ended helping me and my buddy get out. I didn't stay to see what they were going to do after the truck extraction. Probably some insertion/extraction of their own.... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif) |

When I left MOAB, at around 1 pm, all of the parts where compiled and Toast and a rescue group were getting ready to leave to where her car was. The last diag that I heard was points, power, and fuel pump and possibly a hot wire for the fuel pump. They had all of the parts. I would think with all of the brain power and parts, they could build her a new fuel system if needed.
(background) I left my car in Denver when I moved to Seattle. Due to a few unfortunate circumstances, I was delayed in my new motor project and needed to get my 914 to Washington. I flew into Denver and with Gint's help, got it all sorted for departure the next morning. We arrived at Moab around noon. I will ask Gint tomorrow morning if they were sucessfull. I think they are probably all (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chatsmiley.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) about now. Ask Ferg about playing with the Carerra 4. Fun! I got into Boise about 9pm. So, 5am start in Denver, about 3 hours of B.S.ing and picture taking, then a 9 pm stop. 929 miles 26.6 gal of gas = 34 mpg and average speed of 71mph. If i cut out the rush hour trafic in SLC, that jumps to 77mph. Not bad. 5 hours more tomorrow. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/piratenanner.gif) |
