does anyone have experience with solid tranny mounts, good or bad? i'm ready to put my six in and figured now would be a good time to upgrade. street and autoX car, maybe the track one day, if that is a factor.

Brian,

I don't have them in my car, I've been told that they are loud.
They allow vibrations to resonate in to the car.

I've no experiance in a teen, but solid mounts in a beetle will shake all the nuts loose in a couple of weeks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Most guys only use these mounts in drag cars.

I have the solid mounts in my '74
Noticeable increase in noise but the gears are in the same place every time
Worthwhile trade-off IMO
