Brad,

hilarious - every time the server 'goes down', the alert goes out at PP.

it's either bad publicity ("jeez, their server went down") or great pr ("goddamn, they have some serious 914club junkies over there!")

I dont F-ing get it. The backup DNS I added 2 weeks ago should have covered for me while I rebuilt the box. Thank god it went quickly.. and the first thing I did was get the network card installed DNS up and running.

Yeah.. it kills me. People cant wait 15 minutes for us to get it back up and running.

The problem is: I didnt take the site down.. its YOUR ISP that doesnt pick up the DNS.

Nah... something else was wrong.

I use Time-Warner here (one of the largest in N.A.) and someone in California also couldn't get to it.

I RDCed into work (Sprint) and surfed out through the T-1 and it couldn't see it either.

I was "working" on the PC at the office remotely and didn't want to have to get out of RDC to check the site... I already had the browser open.

I'm not that crazy... just a little.

yeah, but it didn't run any Mickey-Soft software.
that would have been added security, you know if the shuttle ran Windows, it would have never had a liftoff to begin with.

added security ...
