F1 tonite at 10:30 on Speed (left coast). Bridgestone hasn't brought the right tire all season (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
They've shown on the tube 2 tires with cuts. Red flag to clean the track. |

Last F1 of the year - I have a cold Fosters Oil can ready...
Thank the sound bite gods that Kimi did not win the drivers championship. It would sound like in my best monotone voice, " I, am, so, happy, to, have, won". Kaptin Kimi Boring - but he is a hell of a driver. |

I'm not really sure it was Goodyears fault, some of the teams were pretty aggressive on camber settings and air pressure, along with the resurfacing of the track. They've had somewhat similar problems at other tracks too, Nascar mandated minimun air pressure after the tire problems tonight, I thought that was good. They also are saying that the track will improve in time.
Yea, I was rooting for Mikey, total class act, but since he didn't win, I was glad to see Jimmy Johnson win, it puts him back in first place tied with Tony. Four straight wins at that Lowes Motor Speedway and five out of six wins there. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) |

No insider info here, but my understanding was that Goodyear was told what conditions to prepare for, and they did just that. Then it turns out that the cars were running 4-5 MPH faster than that. Now it seems like somebody should have seen that coming, but it doesn't sound like that's Goodyear's job. I don't watch a lot of NASCAR, but for some reason I decided to watch the race. IMO, this race was about as lame as soccer : great athletes, great training, and in the end it all comes down to penalty kicks. |
