ok, is 85 bucks a good deal for rear five lug hubs??? It says "drilled for the 130MM 5 bolt wheel pattern". What else would i need, to do the five lug conversion on the rear?? the front seems pretty straight forward. Thanks!

IMO $85 is a reasonable price for drilled 5-bolt rears. Some will say they should be redrilled EARLY hubs, but personally I think either are just fine.

You'll also need new bearings, studs, lug nuts and /6 rear rotors.

I need a source for rear five lug rotors. Mine are getting down to the point they can no longer be "turned."

Are new units available? Where? Thanks

Are the 914-6 and the 911 rotors the same? Anyone with a part number?

Pelican and GPR both have them. I got a set from Pelican a couple of months ago for something like $75.00 ea.

No, the 911 is vented, the 914/6 is solid, plus the offset is different.
The 911 is 4mm larger in diameter than the 914/6 and 8mm larger than a 914/4.
You could go to the vented rotors if you used my kit to convert the calipers, and space the rotors.

Very early 911 rotors (68-69 ?) are non-vented and in most cases will fit, but not always, I'm told. It seems the diameter varies and may be too large. I have a pair I'm going to try on my rear conversion before I spring for the 914-6 versions.

$85 will the tip of the iceberg on your 5 lug conversion. Figure on at least $1500 when you refresh everything (rotors, pads, brake hoses, bearings, bushings, etc). You also need to find 5 lug wheels.

It says "drilled for the 130MM 5 bolt wheel pattern".

The hubs should have studs installed.

$1500 (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)

Don't be detered.

Complete control arms w/cores from Eric $395
Rotors from Pelican $76.35/each
Pads from Pelican $25.45/pair
Rear bushing kit $36.60

Total $609.75

You could spend more, but I think this is a pretty good ballpark.

Finding a set of 5 lug wheels. Well that is up to you, but cookie cutters are a cheap option for under $100/each.

Shop around and you can do better than this.
Just my $0.02

Actually if you are talking about the fronts also $1500 is pretty close.

No, actually $1500 just includes refreshing your suspension with new parts rather than used parts.

911SC front end.................400
brake pads front...................35
brake pads rear....................35
911 vented rotors front........94
914-6 rotors rear................152
5 lug rear hubs...................100
brakes hoses........................52
rear wheel bearings...........102
turbo tie rods.....................177
ball joints............................113
16x6 Fuchs.........................600
tires....................................450
19mm master cylinder.........193
total..................................2503

No gold, just new fresh parts. All prices are from Pelican. Are you going to do a new suspension and then installed used brake pads, used rotors, a used master cylinder, etc??? All that little stuff adds up.

IMO, if you aren't going to do it right then stay with a 4 lug setup.
