Apologies if this has already appeared, but I found this quite neat looking as was the idea of a 'supercar for third world countries'
The quicktime video is pretty neat, of a computer graphic though I think. I also saw a show picture with this concept in Alitalia colors, like the originals (which I remember flying through a snowy Welsh forest in the RAC Rally) Richard New Stratos Attached image(s) |

I personally like how it has an "inline V8" (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif)
This new one looks too fat. Too tall, too boxy. Like most new cars. -Tony |

It doesn't add anything to the original shape and design, I dislike the split windshield, it needs more headlighting, and it loses the brute styling from Bertone. Why pretty up a rally car? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) I do like the interior...

I was really surprised to see french here! guys you made my day! really like the old stratos, the door concept of the new one are nice but. it use ti be a rally car.. no blin bling please.. at least on the gt40 they respect this fact.... when redesigning a race car, non bling, form before function;) a nightmare for an artist i think...lol they at least keep a nostalgic fabric for the seats.. Right-click on BMartin914's Stratos image, select "Save Image As ..." and put it where you want it saved on your computer (some sort-of temp folder). Double-click the file (it should open with whatever graphics program you have installed), print it (I think "Landscape" worked best), and breakout your scissors & Scotch tape. You have to be a little intuative as to where your cut lines are, but it folded up nicely. I was finished with mine when the wife walked in and remaked, "No, don't even THINK about it; I know how you mind works." (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) |
