the TIV seems like a great motor for this, 2 small turbos, sweet.

Not that easy to make a good twin-turbo setup. The two left-side cylinders fire, then the two right-side ones, then the two left-side ones... So if you hook the turbos up to the cylinders on one side, you'll get exhaust flow and then nothing, then more flow and nothing. If you hook them to the front two cylinders, and the rear two, then you get a more constant flow of exhaust. But it's hard to package a front-and-rear setup like that.

both turbos dump into a common airbox, and then a common TB?

that would solve that problem no?

Aaron, I like your thinking. But it's a spooling problem. You don't spin your turbo as fast if you have distinct on/off cycles.

something like a triad exhaust,

both banks converge.... share a small length of tubing, and then diverge again....

that solves that problem (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

very interested! i think this'd be a great way to blow up my 2.0 before i go to something more powerful. mueller do you have any planned amount of boost? is there any concern that the 3000gt/stealth turbo you plan on using is for a larger displacement 6cyl (i think 3000gts/stealths are 6's). do they rate turbos by CFM? once i get a valve adjustment and some motor mounts id be willing to burn some cash on assisting the r&d effort by subjecting a 2.0 to the YCTA914 treatment.

The TDO4 came stock on the 2.0 automatic eclipse. It is actually smaller than the TDO5 that came on the standard models. So he should have no problem using that turbo.

How's the turbo project going?

I'm curious as to the life expectancy on the engine. I know when you go from a 944 to a 944T the pistons are forged, and the compression is lowered. Is this addressed by running lower boost levels?
