I have been looking at a couple of 2.0 6's. One out of a 911 and one out of a 914. Both carbed.
What is involved in converting a 4 over to a six?
Will my tranny fit onto a a 6?

lets see...
You tranny works with a six.

The rest of your question is covered both here and at pelican parts...there are detailed how to books out there and on this site if you SEARCH you will find a detailed list with rough pricing on all the parts you need to convert a 4 cylinder to a 6.

Your stock 914 four cylinder transmission will work fine with a six cylinder engine.

The fifth gear for a six is lower than a four cylinder, and there's a drilled and tapped hole in the early (sixer and four tailshifters) for the 914-6 throttle linkage set up. There's plenty of conversion linkage set ups on the market though.

PM me for six conversion parts!
