The right front top latch on my /6 is loose. Took off the top and checked it out. In theory, it looks like a simple 9mm nut to secure the hook. In practice, both nuts just spin. Can this be adjusted or repaired? I checked a few vendors but didn't see top latch hardware listed.

Any tips gratefully appreciated. Thanks...

On a related note, I got out and ran some errands in the
car today. It was just too nice (50, full sun) to waste. Won't have too many more days like this here...

Are they stripped, maybe someone else had that problem and cranked them down, stripping them in the process?

Are they stripped...?

That's sort of what I was thinking. If that is the case I presume I'd have to (carefully) cut off the nut and get a new stud to attach. Maybe it's not worth it though and I'd be better off trying to find a decent used pair.
