I have read the tale of pulling the door panel off and feeling for the nuts tacked to the inside of the door. I was wondering if anyone had ever made a template for this to do it on the outside. Seems like if I were a clever aryan guy, I would do this if I were at the Karmann place knocking out 914's and various other VW, Audi, MB, BMW or whatever I would want to do things fast and a jig or template just seems like it would work well. Looks like you just would flip it over to do one side or the other. Anyone done this?
