I know I'm (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dead horse.gif) on this subject a bit but do you guys think these seat belts will work in the 914? They are cheap for a new set (both).. What do you think?

Not sure if they will. However, 924/944 belts will work. I picked up a good use set from a guy on the Pelican forum.

I used 944 belts also, worked great, got a complete set off (front and rear belts and recievers) off ebay for about 45 bucks I think. I think I have a thread about installing them on here somewhere.

I looked for the 924/944 belts but none were on Ebay this morning and I just realised that these don't advertise as being retractable so they probably are not..

OK, I'm thinking about getting these.

Says they are retractable and I am wanting to change my interior to tan eventually. I see no reason these wouldn't work in the 914.. Am I thinking about this too simplistically though? I mean there isn't much difference between stock type seat belts, right?

The only thing I could see not fitting is that the porsche belts have a locating pin as well as the bolt...on the 924/944 belts the pin is in the right place, but its just a bit long...

I have also heard that mercedes belts would work also, but dont know from what years.

Go to the Pelican forum and place a WTB ad in the 944 parts section. You don't see them for sale often, not a commonly requested item. Someone is bound to have some. Got mine this way for $35.
