After 1/2 hr. of searching the site, I was unable to find an absolute answer to a "which year 911 (19mm) Master cylinder will fit in a 914". I believe that up to '89 front ends will swap, is that also the case for the MC?

I've got a '77 (I think, it's been awhile since I bought it) 911 front end assy. with "M" calipers that I plan on bolting up to my '74.....found a great deal on a 911 '77-'89 MC. Buy it?
