I found this message from Jon Lowe on the RennList 914 site. It occured to me that we have a resident German translator (Sir Andy?) on this site and could blow the 911's off. Any takers?

John Jentz

All,

I got the following from a member of the German 914/6 Club, Udo Frey. Like
PCNA, Porsche AG is having a contest on Porsche stories. His letter tells the
rest. I have some software that sort of kinda translates German to English,
but things in my personal life do not allow time to do so, plus the cleanup.
If someone out there would help him, he and I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hello Jon!

I´m sure that you heard about the votings concerning the best story about the
Porsche 911 on the Porsche Website.

Our member Oliver Mathai placed his story about the start at the last Tour
Auto Rally in France 2003 with his superfast 914-6 GT among all the 911 stories.
Up to now the story is on 3rd place overall. (By the way: On race events
normaly his 914-6 is placed better!).

Do you know anybody who could translate this story into english so that your 914
members in the states could vote too? It would be very nice if the American
914 enthusiasts could help us to win this race! Look link:
