I am looking to build my teener up quite a bit and I was wondering what it costs to tube frame the car.
So what did it cost you to do yours, and was it worth it?

What are you planning to do with it? A/X? PCA Club? SCCA?

Is it worth it? No. I would say keep your car the way it is. Driving a car is much more fun than building a tube frame car.

almost all real tubeframe 914s started their life on a jig ....

if you want to keep it streetlegal, forget about the tubeframe route ...

if you want to track it, find out your class/club/region rules first ...
most don't like full tube frame cars anymore these days, you'll be most likely put into some sort of "fun" class with no points and no competition ...

is it worth it (for you)? only you can answer that question ...
