Hello,
I just had my tank out to put in a fresh air blower and now the car will not start. I do not believe it is getting fuel and am not certain if I crossed the lines. Is it possible to cross these lines and cause a non start problem?

Thanks,
Dan

If you cross the line at the tank I would think it should still work but you wont have the strainer to keep the big stuff out of the line. Maybe the feed line got pinched when you put the tank back in.

I thought that may be a problem I will take it back out tonight. Also how level should the tank be, I seem to have my leaning towards the passenger side.

Thanks,
Dan

The intake of the suction line is at a different level than the discharge of the return line. If your tank was absolutely full, it is feasible you could suck from the return line, but as the tank level drops, you ain't gonna get no fuel.......

99% of the time people pinch the feed line when setting the tank back.

It will run with them swapped if you have more than a 1/4 tank of gas.

Wait until you pinch the return line some year and cause the fuel pressure to sky rocket!!

Any time I have the tank out of a car I replace the lines... so I have pinched them 2-3 times over a 20 year period.
