I picked up a spare wheel and I want to paint it to match the wheels that are on the car now. Will etching primer need to applied before spraying the color?

I don't know if it is absolutely necessary...
but it seems like a good idea. go to a PPG paint store they sell and aerosol can primer that is for aluminum. its pricey at $10 but I figured it was worth it if it helped the paint stay on there and helped me avoid having to re-do the job brant |
