Is the cold start valve for an l-jet the same as a cold start valve for d-jet.

The LJET is a PASS Through where the fule line goes in one side and out the other. The DJET is one fule hose that ends at it.
They are also in different locations and I think have different attachemets to the Plemum, but I am not exactly sure on that. |

bump...
so Chris can by pass his but the problem is that it broke the actuall valve and is now a vacuum leak into the manifold and affected the idle (what idle) The easiest thing for him to do would get a used L-jet valve to replace his broken one. but Chris, a 2nd alternative is: Chris, on D-jet the cold start valve doesn't inject fuel until something crazy like -26degrees so bypassing it isn't really going to hurt anything You could just plug the vacuum link... make a plug, weld it shut, what ever plugs it... Then just not have a cold start valve. plan 1 is probably easier. brant |

I may be wrong with my inital thoughts. I found a 1.7 D-Jet Cold Start Valve and it looks just like the 1.8? The 2.0 D-Jet is the single...
1.7 D-Jet Valve $15 bucks on ebay item# 8005337613 (IMG:http://i13.ebayimg.com/01/i/05/18/56/cf_1.JPG) 2.0 D-jet valve (IMG:http://i5.ebayimg.com/03/i/05/c2/7a/4d_1.JPG) It might work... And since the thermo-switch remain the 1.8 it would come on like it should and not the colder range. Hmmm... |

The 2.0 one does not look right at all.
I honestly would buy a new one and just put it in. Ebay Valve for 1.8: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-914...sspagenameZWD1V |
