I found this web site. Not a scam. No pop-ups.
Check the VIN history for your car. I could not get a report on my teeners. The one for my van was missing a few years in it's early history. What do you want for FREE.

That gave me the same exact information that CarFax gave for my '99 Passat. Nice find. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

I can't believe someone's giving this away for free. It'll be interesting to see if it stays up.

I don't think they expected their link to become public. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

Wow, thanks! The 944 I bought over the weekend checks out low mileage and all, I didn't have time to run carfax or do much anything before I bought it, so i'm happy the mileage checks out at 48k.

Someone posted it in a thread on a 350Z Club web site.

It's almost as much fun to see what happened to old cars you got rid of. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

Figured it wouldn't last long once it started getting some exposure.
