Sorry for an ignorant (?) question, but I see in some posts only the word "bump" and I do not know what it means. Can someone explain? Ummm please do not answer with just bump lol.

to "bump" up a thread on top of the first page ...

by adding a post, the thread moves back on top of the first page.
usually, if you don't have anything to say/add but you want to get the thread back into the spotlight, you simply "bump" the thread ...

Andy, help me out. Is "fartsdemper" a German word?

(IMG:http://www.bubbasbs.com/alaskacrew/images/fartsdemper.jpg)

I tried translating it from German to English with Google and Babelfish... expected "bump" or "speedbump..." the result was: "more fartsdemper" !!!! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
