Question,

Inside my distributor, the contacts get covered in carbon very quickly.

I was told that the electronic point conversion would solve this. I cannot see how considering the rotor would still be arching to the cap....

Thought and advise on the best electronic points or optical points would be appreciated.

Which contacts? High voltage or low voltage? And define "quickly"...

You have something else wrong. The O-ring for the dizzy is missing, and engine oil is getting to where it shouldn't be?
