Ramps for engine pull or exhaust service. Back up 'em.
Stands for brake and suspension work. As long as you go slow and PAY ATTENTION you wont drive off the ramps. They are plenty strong, too. I drive my F-350 ( 6700#'s ) on 'em to get a better loading angle for the car trailer. KT |

Not custom.........but over 25 years old. Had them since high school. I think they are longer than the ones they sell today? A trick that some use is driving up on a 2X6 placed in front of the ramps to get a little lift first. Like I say, I am lucky to be able to drive up ramps w/o special gizmo's. E |
[
if the picture in you avatar your car, or rather trike?
yeppers....the avatar is my ride..or it will be once I can get it started again...it'sa 1985 Goldwing Limited edition-1972 914/4...registered as the Goldwing...is the VIN of the 914 on the engine somewhere? I named it PODA...1/2 Porsche...1/2 Honda..... but after reading everyones posts...may change that to POS. I bought the Trike off E-bay in June for 9K, it had the original 914 dash on it with 79K mi...put a rebuilt Tranny in it for 2K with a tuneup...have put 1500 mi on since then and now it won't start. Gotta convince the wife to crank it today so I can ck the spark...but got 35mph gusts today with 35* and the PODA is in a no-sided carport, hell the dog won't even go outside! |
