I got this information from another website or possibly here. Some dude in Oregon had put all of his Porsche 914 Shop Manuals and IPC's (illustrated parts catalogue) in PDF form and onto his website. He had a link to this website so I guess he's still around. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif)
It can be easily copied onto a CD for a permanent source of info. For all of those who are always looking for needed info on a certain subject. Make a copy and check it out. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/aktion035.gif) http://www.icbm.org/erkson/personal/porsch...nuals/index.htm This may be old news but for any newbies it's a great way to start to build up your P914 library. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ar15.gif) One of these days I'll find a good 914 race/PCA DE car. If that link does not work, try http://www.icbm.org/erkson
The previous link was bookmarked and works for me and this second one will get you at least into the hood. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/aktion035.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif) |

For some damn reason my PC won't type out the correct address. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif)
Try inserting /porsche_914_manuals/ in place of the other porsche_ whatever. If this doesn't work , I'll have to have another Michelob Amber Bock or 2. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dead horse.gif) |

My advice on manuals is get both haynes,a dn clymers manuals. they each cvoer different aspects differently, there is no such thing as too much info on these cars. they are relitivly cheap, so why not get both? i now have a collection of 914 books, some out of print, some from europe. each one has at least one item better covered than the other, so all have been helpful. for most 914 stuff, the two books, haynes,a dn clymers should cover 90% of the stuff fairly well. also supper details on teh working of the FI system can be gained on the internet, and tips and modification form this website?pelicans web site and private web sites
always feel free to ask, remember there is no dumb question (but maybe dumb answers!!!) Good Luck |
