. I even hold a racing record with one of them. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

Hehe. Yes, it's a citicar.

The record is a 1/8 mile drag racing record for a 48-72 volt modified production electric vehicle. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/burnout.gif)

So what was the 1/8 time? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ph34r.gif)

what about a 1/4 time? or was the cord not long enough (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif)

Haha. 15.106 seconds at 42.93 mph. I could have done alot better if I put together a battery pack that was only big enough to go 1/8 mile. The battery pack I had was good for about 30 miles. Without batteries the car only weighed about 600 lbs, and I had 500 lbs of batteries. 100 lbs of batteries would have been plenty for 1/8 mile, and much improved my time. For vehicles under 96v, they only record 1/8 mile times because by then you're going about as fast as you're going to be going, and the second 1/8 mile will just be cruising. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

The reason I went for the record with a non-optimized car is simply because there was no record yet. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) It's held for 4.5 years so far.
