So I go to list my Les Paul studio on Craigslist PLUG and I noticed that the serial number end is 914!!!
Spooky hun?
So does that mean I SHOULD sell it for 914 parts or I SHOULD NOT sell it because it is a 914? Good thing my Strat sn ends in MX-5!!

Keep it. I've been thru to many guitars looking for "the one". My inventory is down to about 6 or so- a Reverned w/P-90's, a hot rodded Epiphone DOT, martin 6 string and ovation 12 string, and an old, '61 (same year as me!) Gretsch archtop I'm restoring. The search continues for "the one" bass.

If you love it, keep it.

Sell the strat. MX-5 is voodoo.

I thought the studios had the soapbar pickups?! or was that only certain ones?

I wish I had the dough, I love Les Pauls, a buddy had a '75 Custom that just flat ruled! I loved playing that guitar!

I think I'm thinking of the 'specials' not the studios...

I would not change Gibson humbuckers for the SDs... I love my screamin' demon and full shred in my Charvel, but the gibson would be untouched

the gretch is very nice... experiencing Reverenc Horton Heat live made me want a Gretch... long enough to see the price tag anyway...

see, I'm the opposite, I don't care for the soap bar pickups... that may just be me though... and honestly, I'd probably find an SG before a Paul for myself... almost same tone, but a lot easier on the body... the paul is a whip, but great tone... SG would be better for me, not like I even play that often anyway

me TOO! I am keeping my silverface Bassman and strat.
I do need to raise some cap x for my multi-yard-art-project cars!
If for no other reason, I need to take away something for Kevin (Rhodoguy) to gripe about!!
