I have an early 64 candy red strat looking for a new home, and I am desperately seeking a 75/6/7 Ibanez Artwood Twin.

If you know anyone..

Bjorn... your guitars all have scratches on them. Can't afford nice ones? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

Small world. I used to call on Dave when I was a rep. Great store. It was kind of an out of the way run for me but I enjoyed getting up there.

Here's my illustrious career in the industry:

Marshall Music - Lansing Michigan
Dean Guitars - Chicago
Washburn Guitars - Chicago
Laney Distributor - Chicago
Independent Rep - Chicago
Hughes & Kettner Distributor - Chicago
DOD/DigiTech National Sales Manager - Salt Lake
Guitar Player/Bass Player Associate Publisher - Salt Lake
Harmony-Central Sales & Marketing Manager - Salt Lake

Whew.... I'm tired. Let's jam. Who's coming to WCC06?

Here's a bad camera phone picture of my babies in my office:

66 Tele Custom with a Maple Onlay
57 Tweed Deluxe
73 Hardtail Alder Body

I'll take the 64... you should have my address (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

My gigging setup is simple but sweet.

2002 Les Paul Standard - Desert Burst Flame Top

Dr. Z Maz 38 Sr.
Mesa Tremoverb 2x12 combo

I ran the two amps in stereo and complmented the setup with a Fulltone FS2 overdrive, Fulltone Clyde Deluxe wah, Fulltone ChoralFlange, and Keeley Java Boost. I was blessed by the Tone-God with that setup. If you are serious about tone and are looking for a new tube amp I highly recommend the Dr. Z line of products.

Miles,

Yeah, 5 springs. Jeff the previous owner is a great player, kind of a cross between Elroy Jetson and Frank Zappa.

Eric,

You ever run into Bob Grunwald or Ron Berry? I wonder if we met when I was working there.

Guitars gotta be beat. Beat but sweet is the old saying. Kinda like a good pair of worn out Levis.

Bob was the Fender rep in our region and Ron is the PRS man.

Kinda funny, everyone on the site joking about having their teeners on jackstands and being too cheap to buy parts but seeing these hot guitars in the livingrooms. Gotta have priorities I guess!

Miles ought to sell that 'burst and buy a 914-6 GT with the money!

LMFAO (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Don't kid yourself...... if I blow up the engine in the Teener... the Reb Beach goes up for sale the next day (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif))

My car runs..... hence, no jackstands required (knock on wood)

I knew Lane as the Fender rep. Lane used to work at a store in St. Paul. And regarding Ron... now I know who you're talking about. Paul's a good friend as is Jack who is the Pres. of PRS. Jack is a Porsche guy and has a purpose built 944 track car. He does POC with it. He also has the new Vette with a few factory go fast goodies. PRS is doing a GM co-promotion.

I think Miles should sell the burst and buy 'me' a GT. That would be nice of him.

I used to work with Reb in the Laney days...

Reb, Blues Saraceno, Richie Kotzen, Vinnie Moore. All through my Ibanez connections. Bill Reim who is now the Pres. of Ibanez was the creative director. Bill Commiski who is now with Fender was the AR guy and Rich Lasner now Line 6 was the designer that developed that thin line guitar (sorry... don't know the name, not up on the Ibanez stuff).

Reb was a lot of fun. Kip was a pain in the ass. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/lol3.gif)

Naa.. I used to make fun of Winger too.... they were wussies. If the band didn't sing about death, dismembership, or satan worshop...... and look like they hadn't bathed in 3 weeks..... they just weren't cool enough for me to listen to.

But... I started playing in 1988 (I was 12), and not long afterward, I fell in love with the new Ibanez line (The Reb Beach Voyager)... I think it came out in '89. Of course, I couldn't aford it at the time.

So.. I bought it...... 15 years later.

Its a"semi" collectors piece... but far from "extremely" valuable...... just valuable to me. I buy guitars to play them.. not to look at them.. not real big into "collectors" pieces.

BTW.... the "slim" line started out as the "Sabre".... and eventually converted into the "S" model.

Sabre... that's what it was. Rich is a great guy. Don't come any nicer. His son Alex is now in a band and they're great. Rich is a big Apha fan. We usually hook up at the Historics.

Don't play anymore...early on-set arthritis... all I have left is my alvarez 12 string.

When I was younger...and obviously stupider... I had a BC RICO (not BC Rich) that I bought from a local store for like $85.00. It was a rendition of what was the mockingbird. I sold it for $50.00 on consignment when I needed the money.

Last time my brother looked up the value freakin thing was worth like $1,200.00 (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif)

I would give anything to have all the guitars back that I have sold or traded in my life. Some were junk others now have great value. Oh well, I gave up my wild ways and sold every thing I had except an 87 Guild 6-string and a ratty old Alverez 12. The 12 has some good memories attached. I have recently been thinking about buying guitars again, my nephew started a garage band and really got my juices flowing again! Uncle Randy went out and bought him a bunch of stuff, it felt good to be in a music store again.

Wayne, I did not know you played or we would have talked guitars when we met.

Keep the pictures coming, I'm sportin' wood looking at all these beautiful axes!
