Yep,
I'm just stupid enough to invite one and all to my little place in Redneckville for a 'Southern Contingent " get together.
I figure burn some meat on the grill , drink some beers and shoot the shit about our beloved cars.
I have plenty of parking, a small shop to tinker in and possibly crank up my 1.8 I built prior to having a manual! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/w00t.gif)
Maybe do some horse tradin' (thats parts exchange to you So-Cal boyz).
I have been contacted by a few folks so far and I figure what the hell.
Info.
Place.
BrotherBob's barn

Time.
Daylight is good and when I get tired or too hammered I'll go to bed.

Address.
141 Gina Circle
Granbury Tx 76049

Date
4- Feb

Kids are welcome, my son will be turning 15! that week so he will have a few buddies shooting everyone with airsoft guns in the back forty.
We have trampoline out back too.
If you drink to much you WILL stay for the night but I only have so much room so come prepared.
The So-Cal bunch has been having way too much fun so Its our turn.
Does anyone have a contact for the Texas motorsports ranch? It is only a few minutes from my place, maybe we could arrange a class trip?
Just pop a reply up and lets get this thang' going. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif)

I would love to come.

But I don't think that you are going to get any time at MSR... it's booked 2 years in advance, and its very expensive.

Count Betty and I in.

Texas motorsports ranch is expensive for a membership but I figured if someone in the club has a membership maybe we could get in and look around for those that have not seen it?
Clay you bringing me any goodies? I have a few goodies for trade too or the same deal we discussed? Its all good.
Shit now I gotta go clean the shop!! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dancinnanner.gif)

WhooooooHooooo!
Damnation , it looks like a party then. Glad to see we have attracted some folks that know what the hell they are doing . I hope you folks are not expecting the Taj Mahal , we will be in the shop 40x40 redneck barn.
I've got smoker that I'll stoak up and throw on a brisket, beans .
I'll have plenty of coolers laying around for those get thristy.
I think I have a 1.8 close enough to crank up. If it lets go well then what the hell.
I can park at least 10 cars in the front of the house and shop in my drive.
We can pour into the yard too. I have a rotten tub that I'll roll out front if anyone needs anything I have a Sawsall. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sawzall-smiley.gif)

There will be at least two running 914s. Mine and Betty's. Just ordered new tires for hers.

Hopfully DougC brings his too.

I am going to let my neighbors with the 914 know about this. Maybe they would like to come too. (They are not computer literate people. I pass along 914 info to them)

police in small towns are ALWAYS friendly... they are always eager to have you pull over as soon as you get into the city limit and welcome you with a visitors certificate... they know you're a visitor by the fact you are going 36 in a 35...

Sounds like a blast. Wish I could make it down. Who knows... I could show up! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Don't want to hi-jack, but since so many of you texans are watching this thread, take a minute and put down April 15th/16th in your calendar for the TALIMENA drive. I talked to Kitty at the motel and she wants us back. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif)

Dont worry guys we dont live in the city limits so the only Police that will come would be Parker Co. Sheriffs or Constables.
We believe in redneck justice around my place. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ar15.gif)
I have been known to shoot my .50 cal in my backyard.
Really the police are are very nice and as long as you dont get smart with them and treat them with respect, you are good to go.
For all you folks headed in from Dallas and all points north I would take I-20 to 51 and down to my place. : (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dancinnanner.gif)
