Sure Clay,
How about " how to adjust the valves on a 1.8 and fire it up on a test stand ? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chowtime.gif)

I can do that.

I can demo the easy way to adjust valves.

I have done enough of them in the past.....

Is the 1.8 injected?

Is it injected?
Well it can be...I have all the parts but it has twin 34ICTS on it now hooked up with cross bar and all.
I also have......a weber progressive with intakes, and twin 40mm dells but no manifolds , cross bars or cleaners?

The 1.8 is on a roll around cart with the tranny hooked up , starter, full of oil, dressed, wires, dist, yada, yada.

If you require any more set up let me know, I'll handle it. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/jsharp.gif)

Tat -you have no idea!!!!! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
Cleaned up the shop, still a mess but a clean mess.
Menu is..
Briscut and beans
Ribs provided by Tat
Cold beer , sodas, H2O
I serve all day so dont worry about the time, no-one will go away hungry.

The engine 1.8L w/carbs is on a roll around cart.
Tools are ready, LowGt is bring a remote start thingy, mine is burnt.

If you wanna do some parts trading thats ok by me, I have a few.
Weather should be great.

When you wonder on your drive out " where the hell is this place" your almost there. Some nice twisty roads too out my way , if you wanna know shoot me a PM.

MY place is the one with new wood fence in front of the shop, and has a 67 VW Westy and a Sand rail out front. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/jsharp.gif)

UPDATE!
Everything is a go . 11AM SAT is the time of record for the start.
I decided to give my test cart a go and turn the engine over .....She turned over a few times and then whooomp-whooomp , the starter smoked. I'll check around at the local shops for one tomarrow but if ya got a extra I can use one for sure.
Helicoil took in the head for the intake bolt problem.
Wait till you see my oil cooler set up. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
Hey at least she turned over. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/jsharp.gif)

3,2,1.......beeeeep.
Engine is fully dressed , HE's , muffler, ckd tranny oil, ckd engine oil, did some creative engineering on my engine cart.
We have hooked up.
1.Timing light.
2. Vacuum gage.
3. Amp/Volts gage.
4. Fuel pump.
5. Remote start.
6. And no starter, F'ing Autozoneheads gave me a starter for a DP1600! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif)
I think I got the tools covered. The work stand is at belly button height so we dont have ta bend down to work.
If ya need a chunk off a 914 come on....Sawsall party too . Come thirsty cause I got cha' covered. Briscut is marinating in Stubbs right now, coolers are full. Baked beans yum.
Come on out and visit awhile , eat drink be merry. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/jsharp.gif)
