Looking to possibly replace cv 's on '74 1.8 914. Seems they are somewhat hard to find (??). What about interchange possibilities with VW (bus perhaps or other?)... Or where can I buy 914 cv joints and axles?

Probably all four, but I don't know just yet.

The engine and trannny are out, and hopefully this weekend I will get a chance to examine cv's a little closer. At first glance they look kinda bad. I just started a resto on the car (have mostly been dealing with rust). A liitle looking today at the usual parts places for cv's turned up nothing, so I thought I would check out what the possibilities are.

Thanks for the reply.
