I tried this in the sandbox but only 4 views so I thought I would try it here.

I will be in San Diego in a Feb 9-12 and I have a free Saturday and part of Sunday (Feb 11-12). I was wondering if any of you teener owners would like to get together for dinner on Saturday night. I am going to the zoo (have to, wife says so) during the day on Saturday and don't know what to do on Sunday (catch a plane at 6:oo PM).

Thanks,
Mike

Saturday sounds good for me, what kind of food do you like? Mexican, American, Hooters, etc. Let us know.

Thanks for the reply. American or Hooters is fine with me. I don't like Mexican, Indian (cury), or Italian (posta or cheese).

I will be staying at the Hawthorn Suites at Hotel Circle. I will have my GPS so I should be able to find where ever we go.

Very Cool! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Since I haven't been there before and can you three (or more) figure out a good place to eat? What time is good? I can make it almost any time.

In the past we have met at this place on Mission Gorge, can't remember name, Herb do you remember?. Nice place also close to where you're staying and easy to get too.

Don,
What type of food was it at the place you used to meet? I am just looking things up on the GPS.

Thanks,
Mike

Wasn't that San Diego Brewing Company, over by the Carl's Jr? Mostly grill sandwiches and fries. Nothing great, but solid food.

I was going to suggest perhaps one of my Restaurants (though Mike 86'd Mexican for some silly reason. You do realize you are going to be in San Diego, only 15 miles from the border, right?) Our Website

Maybe Zocalo Grill? Zocalo Grill

If we are going to meet there, I need to give them a heads up. I'll be needing a head count. If we go elsewhere, it is going to be Saturday night, so a reservation would be a good idea.

Herb,
Sorry about the Mexican, there are spices that my body just can't handle (I get physically sick) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) And yea I knew that it was close (but I didn't know it was that close) to the border.

Zocalo Grill sounds good to me. I love sea food and I don't get a lot of good sea food here.

Hi Herb, glad you finally looked at this thread. I like your idea of going to your place, put me down for a seat. Do you have blackened Mia Mia on your menu?

I'll even bring the Tums for anyone that needs any, lol.

The whole thing sounds like fun, let's do it.

Mike, in the past when we've had a out of towner for dinner, we have always picked them up to take them to dinner, better that way. Too easy to take a wrong turn in a strange town. So I'll volunteer to pick you up, or you can follow me in your rental. That ok with you?

Thanks Don. I always love riding in a Porsche! You have my numbers and as soon as they confirm the hotel I will get that info out.

Thanks,
Mike
