And that was with a passenger!
http://evcl.com/914/ Some of us here in the Bay Area know Otmar and have seen his car...He can literally smoke the rear tires like a top fuel dragster. I thought there might be others interested in his work. He knows alot about 914s and we ahve alot to learn form him. |

I think how quiet that thing might be, and I consider how many deer you could bag with it.

At last, a reason to go to the Woodburn drags (other than watching the gonzo nuts on bikes) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

the dude with the 914EV lives about 6 blocks away from me. i pass his car charging up (he has a charger in front of his house!) about twice a week. stopped by and chatted with him once. i think i remember him telling me he did a 1/4 mile in less than the 14.399 posted on his site. pretty f-ing fast, and a total sleeper.
with gas prices the way they are.... |

Ask Otmar who helped him figure out the 930 box he runs now.. and ask him who supplied the 915 box he runs in his VW stretch bus.

I wish building a 914 electric wasn't so dang expensive. Otherwise, I'd build one in a second as a commuter car.
