This one I believe is completely my fault- when I was removing the tar from the floor pan, I must have gotten the torch too close to the pivot pieces that the seat rails bolt on to because now they don't move (unless using a hammer). (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) If this only changes the 'tilt' of the seat then I can just force the pieces into a position that's comfortable and forget it, but if they are needed to allow the seat to be moved forward and back, then I'll need these to work correctly.
I can see that they have pins going through them. Can these pins be driven out so I can remove the rectangle piece that the seat rails connect to so that I can maybe file down the metal on the sides to allow it to move again? Any ideas would be most helpful. I'll try and find a pic just in case I'm not describing it very well... |
