I am going to replace my starter. The top bolt seems to be in a tough position to remove.
Any suggestions? T |

it's not that hard....it unscrews from the engine side of the tin and if you have a stock starter, the bolt is held in place unless you push it towards the tranny.
I just put a box end wrench on the starter side (if it's a non-stock starter) and unscrew the nut from the engine side. |

Search and you shall find!
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool.gif) Sir Andy posted some awesome pictures, with arrow, on removing the top bolt from inside the engine bay without removing any tin. To put it back in, I taped the nut to the wrench until it threaded... search mini-starter if the first try doesn't work. |

Thanks for the help. Once I figured out it was a bolt and not just a nut on top it went very quickly.
New mini-starter installed. Same as this one starter T |
