Just about completed morning services at Our Lady of Mulholland, when the car died. Fuel pump went on, but ran slowly. Called the 914 Messiah (Slits) told me to check relays, fuses, etc., but no luck. Flatbed ride home, get it in the garage, pump sings, and car runs fine.

About the only change I notice is a pop or click that seems to come from the engin compartment passenger side. I don't trust problems that fix themselves. Any ideas?

Oh an in the spirit of pissing off everyone in the snow belt, more pix. Malibu Country Club on the left, ocean fogbank in distance. 75f top of the hill, 55f coast.

Best car(?) of the day award. The usual Italitrash, 911's, C-GT, but the clear winner is:

Fuel pump loose.
Fuel pump wiring shorted.

I would check the whole fuel pump situation out...could have fallen loose during the sermon and kinked the hose after communion.

And slits... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/finger.gif) and all you skin cancer vicitims from the west....

Clearly, your 914 problem was caused by gloating. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/av-943.gif)

Get the engine warm again, if it dies then it may be your Temp Sensor 2 going out. That hapenned to me, checked everything cold and all was fine, let the car get warm and it would die - at that point I could see there was a short in the TS2 - once it cooled down it appeared fine.

I found the Secret footage of your drive this morning Howard....

I dont think it's the fuel pump. Watch at the end when the car starts acting up.

OK, wiring looks good, but that little pop sounds like it's coming from right around TS2. Slits, can ya bring one to Joe's?

We have a winner (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) Thanks, Travis. Drinks are on me.
Grounded the the wire and problem went away. How important is this dohickey here. Only gets down to about 40 at night.
