Are your mats the Universal type? They look nice.

Lotta those cocoa mats are porous. Lift them up and find all the dirt has worked it's way through and is on the carpet.

Me? I gotta set of 1973 vintage rubber base /carpet insert mats with about 4 years of wear and tear. Rubber is perfect but the carpet rotted. Just need to cut and glue in new carpet. Oughta see the factory carpets under the mats- don't think a foot or dirt or sunlight has ever been on those babies.

The new coco mats aren't porus - I mean they have a backing that traps the dirt.
