I used the PP "engine removal method, and now have moved the engine up a little and on two jack stands which are under engine bar, and two jack stands under tranny. I know I cant jump up and down on it, but wanted to check and make sure this does not put too much strain anywhere.

looks fine to me, I put jack stands on the bar all the time... I usually put a 2x6 between the jack and the tranny though...

That will work fine, but you might want to put the two rear jack stands under the transmission mounting ears for more stability. If needed, you can also put one under the flywheel/clutch end of the engineif you need to remove the transmission, just have a friend around to steady things when you seperate them..
