This motor from Jake is gonna land me in some (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/stromberg.gif)
I stayed with him through some twisties and all the way to the top of 3rd gear (that be past the 7 on the stock tach). We ran together for a couple of miles slowly upping the anny. I'm sure he was wondering WTF is a 914 doing on his ass. Course, I don't know how hard he was trying to loose me but he was blowing plenty of stuff out of the exhaust. I know I would have run out of top end but, it sure was fun taking him that far. Talk about a let down. Now I have to go replace an axle in the Subaru. It's kind of like having to settle for a cold shower. Dave |

that is not racing, that is doing your required Public Relations job to ensure that the 914 is not forgotten or taken lightly (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/boldblue.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap56.gif)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) good job with the Carerra S there. Sure, maybe he can beat you in 5th. My guess was he wasn't an experienced driver, and it was a sliptronic trans.

..... as the geo metro blew by both of you.
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) It's not really fun unless your car was orange or pink or purple. Well maybe not purple. But nobody can stand to get passed by anything pink. Especially some ceo showing his car off to some poor intern. |

Keeping up with him in the twisties should've been no problem. It's the straights that cause a problem. I've harassed 911 owners in the twisties with, um, very humble cars. It's nowhere near as difficult as it should be.

I dunno JP. Big ass silver rear end with black Carrera S Script under the spoiler, blowin smoke outa 2 oval tailpipes under the body work. When he headed for the last entrance before the Narrows Bridge I took the last turn and off he went. I gotta get this under control but, it sure is fun havin some ponies.
I'm plannin to come down and run with you guys in March. I think I got more car than driver but maybe I can grow into it. I'm bringin the pup for his first AX. I figured the shorter course would be a good thing for him. Plus you guys are more fun than the guys at Bremerton. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap56.gif) Dave |

I remember having fun with some clown driving home from a Marina autocross (about 5 years ago) with the race tires still on the car. I went home the "fun way" on Hwy 9 and this moron in a new 911 kept flashing his lights at me on any of the long uphill straigts where he could keep up with my shit box gutted Rabbit track car - I think he crashed trying to keep up because he stopped "being there". I probably should have turned around and checked but I was laughing to hard. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif)

With all the rain we've had, we're a bunch of fungi. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif) Only a month to go. Oh. BTW, that AX will be in the afternoon. Sign up by opens at 11AM. There is a drivers skills thingy in the AM which would be good for your son. |

JP
We'll be there if SW Washington doesn't turn into an inland sea. Skills would be good. Al Pretty well sorted out. Cold start is still a bitch. Cold it just doesn't suck much air and acceleration enrichment is off so I either go really rich or lean if I turn it off. Bring it on. Dave |

Good Job Dave. Them 911's are over rated in My opinion anyway.
Barry and I got into it coming out of Pansacola Saturday. his 2056 was no match for the Racer. 4 tiars, floor jack, tool bag in the back trunk, a bunch of shit in the front trunk and my son in the pass seat. Rolling start from 70 and I walked away to about a 110. That was that and we cooled it for the rest of the trip. had to stop twice to clean jets. F'ing carbs.
