I voted yes because I think his or her very existance is a drakonian. It's a childish knee-jerk response to a childish incident.

I vote the admins change their "group" memembership under their avatars to "moderator". We don't need to know which one of you deleted a post or avatar, just that one of you did it.

BBAMFH is childish.

The only knee-jerk reaction was from the members who like to stir up trouble. The BAMFH was created first, before any of this BS started. The childish incident was because some people have to test the limits constantly.

As an admin, I like the BAMFH for a few reasons.

When I post as the BAMFH, you know it's an administrative action. It's serious and it needs to be dealt with.
When I post as McMark, you know it's just another member and you're welcome to laugh in my face.
As an admin I appreciate having the differentiation.

Also, there have been plenty of experiences in the past where people get offended by an administrative action and attack us personally. Every person on the admin team can handle those attacks, but if we have the power to avoid those confrontations, we should. The action we take as admins are to enforce the rules of the board, not our own personal rules.

So I voted, no, don't delete him. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I just realized that I missed the original posting of the rules on 2/8/06. I missed it because the thread was locked and it scrolled off the front page before I could read it.

Will there be any opportunity for us non-members to comment on the non-club forum rules?

Are you kiddin me? Comment? There has been an onslaught of comments for the last two days.

As a group, the admins work on the rules collectively and change them to reflect the current environment as they see fit. That information is gathered from comments on the board, PM's to admins, and admin discussion. You can comment anytime you like. This thread is proof of that. The rules were modified on 2/09 and posted in the "Nailed" section and they are still there for all to view. Before this ever started I might add.

I would prefer to know who is editing, enforcing, whatever.

If i screw up, I know it, and would like to know who it was that that nails me for it.

If you get pulled over for speeding, do you want to meet officer jimmy bob, or a nameless, faceless enforcement thing?

This is probably the last comment I'll make on this subject. I refuse to parcipate in these rants.

Rest assured, that if I ever feel a need to perform "editing, enforcing, whatever", you'll be the first to know.

Aside from helpful stuff that is. I often resize pics, add links when folks just post web addresses without linking, that sort of thing. I just do it and don't say anything. If you bitch at me for that, well... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ar15.gif)
