Assuming we can get one techinical problem worked out, the Parade is gonna have a killer AX course. Half parking lot half race track. Half moderate speed and half not moderate speed (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Top speed looks to be around 90 ish. Both the track junkies & the AX wonks will have their places to shine.

BTW, the Saturday after the Parade, there will be a DE and AX
at PIR. The ORPCA has the joint all day. 35 bucks for the AX....which will include lunch & a t-shirt. I'm not sure of the DE cost as yet.

A link. http://www.pca.org/parade/2006/

The PCA has some "funny" ways of doing things.
The word I got was that the Hershey Parade had 1200
applicants and accepted 700 of those.(300+ AXers)
Apparently, various "officials" of regional & the national
clubs have 1st dibs on available slots.

I don't expect that number of applications out here in the NW, but ya never know. Get you applications in NOW if ya really wanna get in...that would be your best shot.

The Parade course will be pretty simple.....so dabblers can find their way around. The "AfterParadeAX" will be a sneaky SOB (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) .....rough too, unfortunately. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

You must be a PCA member to register for Parade. I'm told that you also must have your "online" identity established before March 10 as you will not be able to do it that day.
Go to pca.org If you can log in you are good to go beginning 8am est March 10.

90 mph? Will we need chutes to stop?

Thanks for the clarification, Jim.
90 maybe. What's your speed into the turn 4 braking zone? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

A bit Of info:
Registration beging March 10 here: http://www.pca.org/parade/2006/
I may be mistaken, but to register, you have to log on here: http://www.pca.org/news/pcr.html

Now listen up, you cannot sign onto the PCA site and register on the same day. You need to get the sign on done before the 10th.
You need to have your PCA membership current.
You *need* to register that first day....the 10th.....`

I've been told that the Parade seldom sells out..... Hershey
was an exception. JIC, if you wanna go, get signed up that first day.

Be sure to plan on staying over for the track/AX stuff on Saturday following the Parade.

The Parade AX course will be about 25-30 sec in the Pro
Pits, exiting onto the main straight about 200 yards from the chicane, 360 deg around the chaicane, then your off to the
back stretch of turns 4 thru 8.....with just a few cones to ruin the racin' line (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
