As you know the 914 remote control cars is a project in development with between David McLaughlin and GT Performance. The cars will now be coming online for sale.
If you're in Hershey this April, stop by and say hello to David, he will probably have some cars with him. I'll be in Hershey as well, but just walking and having fun this year. If you see me, please say hi. Check out some of the latest cars (my favorite of this bunch is the blue 914 with carbon fiber lids): (IMG:https://gtautoperformance.com/porsche-914/021806/orig021806/DSC04659.JPG) (IMG:https://gtautoperformance.com/porsche-914/021806/orig021806/DSC04662.JPG) (IMG:https://gtautoperformance.com/porsche-914/021806/orig021806/DSC04680.JPG) |

I can't wait, I've been dying to pick up one of these ever since I saw the thread about them. I'll be at the swap meet in April, so I'll grab one there.

Hello Greg,
Very nice stuff and something to think about ... Is that a personal touch on the front of the yellow ? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool.gif) |

Ok, I messed up the decal! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ph34r.gif) It's corrected now. I guess keeping an eye on my two boys, cooking dinner and decaling a model is one thing too much.
So far the blue car is my favorite, but the orange car I'm decaling (new word) now is a close second. Greg will be providing some 914s and I"ll also bring a few other Porsche shells too. If I get the financial support that I plan on, I'll also bring some RC kits and ready to run chassis' for the 914s. Greg has been an excellent business partner in this. |

You are going to have some unpainted shells at the show, correct?

My plan is to offer a couple of ready to run (including painted shells) RC 914s. I'll bring one or two unbuilt kits with everything needed to get it running. For bodies, I'll paint half of what Greg sends me and leave the other half blank.
For the two ready to run cars, I'll probably modify one of them to show what can be done. In stock form these are entertaining. In modified trim their even better. If I have time, I'll repair the transmission on my nitro powered car and show that off too with a new 911 body. This is all depending on what funds and time I have available to me before the even. Then I need to figure out how to fit it all into two 914s. The 10x10 tent will be interesting to haul since I'll also have my 8yo son too. |

GregD - It should fit the Tamiya M04 chassis (long) and the old Tamiya M02L. The M04 long chassis came with the now discontinued BMW Roadster. You can use the M04 Medium chassis as provided in the Eunos Roadster and Alfa Giulia Sprint GTA but you will need an extension piece (I don't know the Tamiya part number off hand). The M02L chassis came in the Porsche Carrera kit (911 based and not the GT). I just got my bodyshell from Greg T. and I'm currently gathering info and reference photos. As to building and detailing possibilities, here is a link to one of my current projects that are based on a Tamiya R/C chassis: http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthr...ad.php?t=214548
Here's a link to a finished project that is also based on a Tamiya chassis: http://www.rccaraction.com/online_ex/homebuilt.asp (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) |

People keep asking me for unpainted RC car bodies, so I figured a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_bump.gif) was in order.

Greg, do you have more of the unpainted bodies? I've had a few PMs asking since the WCC event.

Yes, there are non-painted and painted bodies still available. Just order online through my store. Thanks,
