Have you considiered a NEW 914? Or maybe a three or four year old BoxsterS? The more I live with the Boxster the more 914ish it seems. At least keep it in the family. Boxsters aren't spartan, and are fun to drive. Your money though, do whatever makes you smile (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

I'd probably try and find the nicest low mileage garage queen MR2, before spending money on a specialized British car. Just my .02

Well - I took the wife up to drive the Elise on Friday. She likes the car a lot (as do I), and was able to slip in and out of the car like she had always owned one - but I think for the meantime I'll be keeping the 914. Driving the Elise a second time really helped me make the decision. While the Elise is a very nice car, I just can't let the six go yet. Maybe once the prices on used Elises come down some more, I'll reconsider.

Now - the new Exige on the other hand..... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)

Heheh. Just kidding. I'm sticking with my teener for now! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Thanks for all the opinions, guys!

I was considering an exige at one point but I have wanted a 914-6 since I was a kid. Every time I could have got one I always got something else.

I just really wanted to finaly get a 914. So thats what I am doing. You have no idea the crap my friends are giving me for getting a 30 year old sports car over a brand new exige.

get my 914-6 in 2 weeks (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I just hope it's faster then the lotus.

What engine will your 914-6 have? If it's a stock 2.0 it may not be as fast as the Exige - but it will handle just as well. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
